Hello and welcome to our Autumn Newsletter!
There has been lots going on at Just Smile since our last communication and although Winter is making it’s appearance, we are are still working hard at the office and in the warehouse to create showstopping events for all our clients.
Kicking the month of September off, we hosted clients, venues and friends at our warehouse for a Summer Social. Complete with drinks and pizza, it was a perfect evening of chatter, laughter and networking.
As we head into October we are keeping ourselves very busy with a number of events and clients. Lots of awards shows, drone shows and fireworks coming up, as well as the usual conferences, posh parties, and weddings in-between keeping the diary nice and busy as we head towards Christmas!
We’ve had a bumper 2025 although it certainly didn’t look like that earlier in the year, some challenges have been added by lots of events booking later and later.
However, we continue to grow our team and are looking forward to a busy winter.

SME Hertfordshire Business Awards
Just Smile was proud to deliver the Audio Visual experience for the SME Hertfordshire Business Awards on the 18th September!
It was an unforgettable evening filled with conversation, celebration, and community spirit as the best of Hertfordshire’s business talent came together. With great food, inspiring stories, and an atmosphere elevated by exceptional lighting and sound, the event was truly outstanding.
We were thrilled to play our part in making the night one to remember, showing once again how powerful great AV can be!
Event Profile: Soultasia
We worked with the team at Soultasia to deliver production for the Hertfordshire Soultasia Event held in Bushey on 8th August. It was our pleasure providing legends China Black, Gwen Dickey, Odyssey & The Real Thing with staging, sound & lighting for this show!
Kit Investment Update:
At Just Smile, we are constantly updating our inventory. Recently, we have invested in the following pieces of equipment to enhance our clients’ events.
Beamz – BPL410
Following requests for tables to be lit, whether this be for food stations, awards tables or place names etc, the Beamz MPL410 is a floor-standing, zoomable, warm white fixture which is also battery operated and comes in black or white housing. We have added these to our hire stock.
Ovation Reve E-3 IP
IP Rated LED Ellipsoidal Profile light, this fixture is ideal for theatre and stage productions but also IP rated. Thus the fixture lends itself to more use and is incredibly versatile.
Chauvet Ovation 25-50° Lens
We have just added the Chauvet Ovation 25-50° Lens to our stock, having previously only stocked fixed zoom lenses. As we are providing more theatrical performances with lighting this lens needed to be on our shelves.
Atem 2 M/E Constellation 4K
We are upgrading our Video switching to 4K! With more and more of our events being on large format screens and requests for streaming online becoming more popular, we have decided to upgrade some of our switching to a higher resolution in order to future-proof our events.
Event Profile: Space Safari Drone Show
Working with the team at Lumina Sky Theatre, we have provided production support for their tour of Space Safari Drone Shows including Sound, Lighting, FX &Power with time-coded soundtrack between the Audio, Lighting, FX and the Drones.
