Bushfest 2026

Hertfordshire Festival Production

On Bank Holiday Sunday, 30th August 2026, the Just Smile production team provided full audio visual production for BushFest 2026, delivering the stage, professional sound system, monitoring and event lighting required for a packed programme of live entertainment.

Taking place in Hertfordshire, BushFest brought together a fantastic line-up of tribute acts for an afternoon and evening of live music. Our role was to provide the technical infrastructure behind the performances, creating a professional festival environment for the artists on stage while delivering high-quality sound and lighting for the audience across the field.

For our team, the project was a great example of the complete Hertfordshire festival production service we can provide for outdoor events, festivals and live music shows.

Festival Stage Production

At the centre of the production was a 7m x 6m covered festival stage, complete with a roof and stage access steps.

For outdoor live music events, the stage forms the focal point of the entire production. It needs to provide sufficient space for performers and technical equipment while creating a professional visual centrepiece for the audience.

Our stage provided the performance area required for the different acts appearing throughout BushFest, while integrating with the festival’s sound and lighting production.

Professional Festival Sound System

Delivering clear and powerful audio across an outdoor festival site requires considerably more than simply placing speakers next to the stage.

For BushFest, our festival sound production consisted of:

  • 8 x RCF Tops
  • 4 x RCF subwoofers
  • 6 x RCF NX 12-SMA stage monitor wedges

Sections of the PA system were positioned using line array lifters, raising the loudspeakers above audience level. Increasing the height of the system helps improve sound distribution and coverage across an open festival field, allowing audio to travel more effectively towards the audience further away from the stage.

The result was a powerful professional festival PA system designed to provide consistent coverage throughout the event space.

Live Sound and Stage Monitoring

With multiple live acts performing throughout the event, reliable stage monitoring was another important part of the production.

We supplied six RCF NX 12-SMA monitor wedges, giving performers dedicated on-stage monitoring and helping artists hear the mix they needed during their performances.

Our team provided live sound production throughout BushFest, supporting the different technical requirements of each act and keeping the programme moving as performers changed over during the day.

Festival Lighting Production

Alongside the sound system, we supplied a complete festival lighting package to bring additional energy and visual impact to the stage.

The lighting system was controlled using an Avolites Tiger Touch II lighting console, giving our production team comprehensive control over the fixtures and allowing the lighting to be adapted to complement each performance.

Our BushFest lighting rig included:

  • 4 x Chauvet Intimidator Trio moving head wash fixtures
  • 4 x Showtec Helix S5000 Q4 fixtures
  • 4 x ADJ Jolt Bars

The combination of moving heads, washes and Jolt Bars allowed us to create a varied lighting design with movement, colour, washes and high-impact effects across the stage.

As daylight faded into the evening, the lighting became an increasingly important part of the overall festival atmosphere, transforming the stage and giving each performance a polished live-show feel.

Supporting the BushFest 2026 Line-Up

Throughout the event, our production team supported a varied programme of tribute acts, including:

The Honky Tonk Angels, Just Tina, Platinum Queen and Take @ That.

With several different performers using the same stage, the technical production needed to be versatile enough to accommodate changing requirements while maintaining consistent sound and lighting quality throughout the festival.

From stage monitoring and front-of-house audio to lighting cues and changeovers, our team provided the technical support behind the performances throughout the event.

Complete Festival AV Production in Hertfordshire

BushFest 2026 brought together several areas of what we do at Just Smile: festival staging, professional sound systems, live audio engineering and event lighting production.

Rather than supplying individual pieces of AV equipment, we can provide an integrated technical production package designed around the requirements of the event, venue and expected audience.

Whether we’re working on a local festival in Hertfordshire or a larger live event elsewhere in the UK, our focus is on delivering reliable equipment, experienced technical support and a professional standard of production from the stage to the audience.
