Oktoberfest is all about creating an unforgettable atmosphere, bringing people together with great music, entertainment, food and plenty of German-inspired celebrations. For this series of Oktoberfest events, Just Smile provided professional audio visual production across five locations, delivering a consistent and high-quality event experience in Hertford, Watford, Cheltenham, Bath and Oxford.

Each location required a carefully planned event production setup designed to work within the individual event spaces while creating the vibrant atmosphere expected from an Oktoberfest celebration.

Professional Audio Visual Production for Oktoberfest

For each Oktoberfest event, we provided a 9m x 5m stage, creating a large performance area for live entertainment and ensuring the stage remained a key focal point within the event space.

A 6m x 2m LED screen was installed at each location, providing a high-impact visual backdrop for the stage. LED screens are an effective way to enhance live events, allowing event organisers to display branding, graphics and engaging visual content throughout the evening.

To complement the stage and LED screen, we supplied a combination of professional event lighting, including moving head lights, haze machines and fog machines. These effects helped to create an energetic atmosphere and enhance the experience as the entertainment got underway.

Creating the Oktoberfest Atmosphere with Lighting

Lighting played a particularly important role in creating the atmosphere across each Oktoberfest event. We supplied extensive festoon lighting, with each event featuring approximately 450 individual bulbs across the main event area.

The festoon lighting helped create a warm, welcoming and authentic festival-style environment, complementing the Oktoberfest theme while providing practical illumination throughout the space.

The lighting continued outside the tent too, with additional festoon lighting installed around the exterior. This helped extend the atmosphere beyond the main event area and created an inviting entrance and surrounding environment for guests.

Professional Sound Production

Clear, reliable sound was essential for each Oktoberfest event, particularly with live entertainment and presenters requiring microphones throughout the celebrations.

Our audio visual production included a comprehensive selection of professional microphones, including Shure and Sennheiser microphones, providing performers, presenters and event hosts with dependable audio throughout the event.

For the main sound system, we used an RCF HDL 30-A system, comprising of 8 tops and 4 subs. This professional PA system provided powerful, clear and consistent sound coverage, ensuring guests could enjoy the entertainment from across the event space.

Using professional event sound equipment and experienced technicians allowed us to balance the audio requirements of each venue while maintaining the quality and reliability expected from a large-scale event.
