Sopwell House Summer Wedding Production

Sopwell House in St Albans is one of our favourite venues to work at, and this wedding was a fantastic example of how carefully planned wedding production in Hertfordshire can transform a beautiful venue into an unforgettable celebration.

For this luxury wedding, our team provided a range of audio visual production, staging, lighting and event production to create an elegant look across both the outdoor ceremony and the main wedding reception.

Outdoor Wedding Ceremony

The celebrations began with a beautiful outdoor ceremony. We provided a 3m x 3m stage for the chuppah, creating a dedicated focal point for the ceremony while complementing the surrounding gardens.

A polar white aisle runner was also installed, leading towards the stage and adding an elegant finishing touch to the ceremony setting.

Outdoor ceremonies require careful planning, particularly when it comes to positioning staging and production equipment while ensuring everything works seamlessly with the natural surroundings. Our team worked with the venue and wedding suppliers to make sure the setup looked polished and suited the overall style of the day.

Luxury Wedding Reception in the St Albans Suite

Following the ceremony, guests moved into the St Albans Suite, where we created a sophisticated production setup designed to make the most of the space.

We created a 6m x 3m two-tier carpeted stage, providing the perfect platform for the evening’s entertainment. Behind the stage, we installed a 6m x 3m white silk backdrop, creating a clean and luxurious backdrop for the performers.

A matching white silk backdrop was also positioned behind the top table, helping to bring the different areas of the room together and create a consistent visual style throughout the reception.

Lighting and Audio Visual Production

Lighting played an important role in bringing the reception space to life. We installed wireless uplighters around the room, adding atmosphere and helping to enhance the overall styling of the St Albans Suite.

We also supplied moving head lighting, adding energy and movement to the room as the evening progressed and creating a more dynamic atmosphere for the entertainment and dancing.

A Statement Dance Floor

To complete the reception setup, we supplied a 22ft x 22ft acrylic dance floor. The glossy finish created a striking centrepiece for the room while providing plenty of space for guests to dance throughout the evening.

The dance floor worked particularly well alongside the white silk backdrops and elegant staging that suited this luxury Hertfordshire wedding perfectly.
