Conference Production at The Grove, Hertfordshire

We were delighted to provide full conference production at The Grove Hotel in Watford.

The event was for a regular client ‘Cognita’ who wanted to recognise success and bring their team together to share & develop ideas, thinking & strategy. Our technical team provided Stage, Set, Sound, Lighting & Video, which included our conference set including 3 screens, which were from our stock of 2.9mm pitch LED wall. We also provided a NEXO sound system, with lectern mics, lavier lapel mics, handheld radio mics and uplighting plus, stage lighting for the event.

On the first evening there was an awards event, where the lighting provided some additional fizz to proceedings, to change the feel of the event from learning/sharing to celebrating. We had technicians on site throughout the event to ensure everything was covered and whether it was sound, video or lighting we were able to support the clients wishes in any eventuality.

Audio Visual London

We provided Audio Visual London, with AV support, stage and set, lighting and sound for the Flexa Awards in London at the Landmark London Hotel at Marylebone.

Our client had booked the beautiful Marble Ballroom at the Landmark in London and wanted to ensure that all guests could enjoy the event as much as possible, therefore adding speakers and screens around the room to ensure all delegates have a view of presenters whether on the stage or on screen, plus the sound would need to work for the awards, and the band after the awards including a DJ to finish the night.

As you would expect even given the complicated brief, our team were well equipped to deliver this event and create a good atmosphere for the guests. We delivered the Audio Visual requirements for our client who was happy with the outcome of the event.

One of our favourite venues, we provide Wedding Production at the Landmark Hotel in London at Marylebone. This venue has two stunning Ballrooms and many more rooms, break out spaces, and communal areas which welcome stunning Weddings and create some of the greatest memories for families, friends and colleagues.

On this event, we provided White Glitter Boarded Stage, Lighting, Dance Floor, Aisle Runner, Chuppah Stage, Stage Pleated Backdrop and all of the details on f0r the perfect finish. We also provided GOBO lighting, which allowed us to put the Wedding couples initials on the backdrop and on the dance floor.

Music Festival Production

We were contacted to provide Stage, Sound, Lighting & Power for a private music festival for a company who hold an annual event for employees to enjoy some entertainment and drinks at a private property away from their usual workplace. Our Festival Production crew pulled out the stops to ensure all acts were happy to perform.

Our client booked one of our popular festival stages suitable for a mixture of acts & DJ. Over the coming weeks more acts were added and we were arranging Stage, Sound and Lighting requirements for Toploader and Deacon Blue who had been booked to perform at the event.

We upgraded our stage to include cowsheds so that we could use rolling risers, provided the sound and lighting elements required and delivered a sensational end result with minimal fuss to our client.

For Sound, we used our RCF HDL30 Line Array with Allen & Heath GLD Consoles, we supplied two Midas ProX and 15″ wedges for foldback.
For Lighting, we used a mixture of Robe Pointe, Robe LEDBeam350, Robe LEDBeam150, Chauvet Rogue R2, ADJ Jolt Bar, ADJ Ultra Bar 9, Avolites Tiger Touch 2 & Look Solutions Unique 2.1 Hazer
For Staging, we use a Metalworx System 2o00 Truss stage system bringing in additional Duratruss bars flown for the lighting

Best Businesswomen Awards 2021 – Sound & Lighting

Best Businesswomen Awards this year held at Hilton Wembley has been an event supported by Just Smile for a number of years. The event moved to London from Hertfordshire in 2019 and each year seems to grow. Whilst still being a modest production, with friends and family involved in the running of the event. Just Smile works alongside the team to support and help ensure the technical elements of the event are delivered and feels professional, which is always achieved.

Our team this year provided Sound and Lighting and a backdrop for the stage. With the essential element being sound of course for performers and presenters. We used our D&B T series along with B4 subs, Allen & Heath mixing console, Sennheiser radio mics & in ears for perfect sound reproduction and coverage. In terms of lighting, we used our Avolites Tiger Touch 2 console, Robe Pointes, Robe LED Beam 350’s and Chauvet AM-Haze 2 machine to show off the lighting. Plus Chauvet Ovations for lighting the stage and presentations, and Chauvet Well Fit uplighters around the perimeter of the room.

Just Smile regularly provided Audio Visual Watford services to the Hilton Watford Hotel on the A41. The News Hertford Suite at Hilton Watford is a perfect venue for large meetings and conferences.

At this particular booking, we provided a lectern, 4 speaker PA system and microphones for a conference. A regular client which we have worked with for a number of years. A simple set up with a technician on-site for the day to ensure the sound levels are correct for each and every presenter.

We provide Audio Visual Watford services in Watford and around Hertfordshire. We also travel into London and have a large range of equipment available to hire with or without a technician.

Jewish Wedding Sopwell House

Just Smile are recommended at Sopwell House as one of the venues Wedding Suppliers. Our client David Krist approached Just Smile to deliver his Wedding Production for his Jewish Wedding being held at the stunning hotel in February 2020.

Just Smile provided Stage, Dance Floor and Lighting, but also a backdrop for the top table. The venue looked stunning, and the well-known Pure Showband performed on stage. The lighting was operated by one of the Just Smile technical team who ensured the lighting worked to the music throughout the evening.

Sopwell House is a popular Wedding venue in St Albans Hertfordshire, and is popular with Jewish Weddings and planners who recognise the venue as a luxury wedding venue in the area. The hotels ‘St Alban Suite’ can hold over 20o guests.
